The Halton Industry Education Council (HIEC) recently announced speakers for its popular upcoming Women as Career Coaches (WACC) and Men as Career Coaches (MACC) events.
Actress, author and wellness coach Jessica Holmes will be the keynote speaker at the Thursday, March 26 WACC event being held at the Burlington Convention Centre.
The event, held between 5:15-9 p.m. is designed to bring together women from different occupations as mentors and career coaches to young women, to empower them to take control of their futures. Since 2005, WACC has brought together more than 6,000 young women and career coaches.
2015 MACC keynote speaker Alan Cross is an internationally known broadcaster, writer, blogger and host of the radio documentary series Ongoing History of New Music.
Cross will be speaking Wednesday, April 22 at the Burlington Convention Centre. The focus of the event, also held between 5:15-9 p.m., is on sharing career experiences, insights and journeys with young men in high school in an informal, interactive format.
HIEC is also reaching out to the community to raise $30,000 to help pay for the cost of both events.
