Habitat for Humanity Halton is calling on the Milton community to help them help others.

Since opening in June, the new Milton ReStore — located in the old post office building at 25 Brown St. — has experienced a relative slow start. Staff and volunteers are hoping sales pick up, as proceeds are a pivotal part of the overall fundraising campaign that goes toward building homes throughout the region.

“The Milton community has been fantastic to us since our grand opening and we thank them for that. However, sales have been slow since we have opened and to help more Milton families in need, we need to increase sales,” said Milton ReStore manager Matthew Stillman. “Come visit us throughout the week for amazing deals on high-quality new and used furniture, appliances, tools, hardware, cabinets, vanities and much more.”

ReStore items are priced at up to 75 per cent off regular retail prices, with no tax.

Habitat Halton plans to build 75 homes in the region over the next five years. Among them are two currently under construction on Bronte Street.
