Actor D.C. Douglas, who appears in the cult sequel "Sharknado 2" currently playing on SyFy, has been cast as the lead in Houston-based Eye Candy Film's "KILD TV."
"The body count begins as a group of TV station workers realize they are trapped with a serial killer among them," reads Eye Candy Film's description of "KILD TV's" plot. "The mystery and terror thickens as friends and colleagues begin distrusting each other and clues lead to more questions... and more bodies."
Douglas has been tapped for the lead role of Milton, host of a late night horror film showcase, whose predilection for dissecting animal heads during his on-air monologues leaves his fellow workers a bit uneasy and suspicious.
"I'm excited to be doing another film in Houston," says Douglas, "and especially a horror film. I was lucky enough to garner fans for my work voicing a villain in zombie video games, so films like 'Sharknado 2' and this one are what they wanna see me in."
Douglas has been voicing Albert Wesker in the "Resident Evil" video game franchise since 2007, resulting in a popularity that brings him numerous personal appearances at comic cons around the US and UK.
"KILD TV" is helmed by director William Collins and written by Channing Whittaker. Principal photography begins this week in Houston, Texas.
Douglas can currently be seen recurring as Kurtz on "The Young and The Restless" on CBS, and heard as Chase on The Hub's "Transformers: Rescue Bots" every Saturday morning.
