Three more people have registered to run in this fall’s municipal election, bringing the number of candidates to 46.
The Ward 2 town council race continues to heat up, with a seventh candidate, Ryan Devries, recently throwing his name into the mix.
Meanwhile, Maqsood Soomro is seeking election in Ward 8, which now has three candidates.
Nik Thakkar recently became the fourth candidate for the Halton District School Board’s Ward 1,6,7 and 8 trustee seat.
The municipal election is set for October 27 and residents have until September 12 to file their nominations.
