A Milton resident is among the first-ever graduating class of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine’s (CCNM) Bridge Delivery program.
Educated in Egypt and having moved to town in 2008, Hany Henein is among the 18 international medical graduates (IMG) who were recognized at the CCNM’s 35th convocation May 21 in Toronto.
Henein has trained and practiced as a general practitioner, with special interests in psychiatry and pediatrics.
The Bridge Delivery program offers IMGs the opportunity to complete the naturopathy program at CCNM in two years.
“We congratulate our inaugural IMG graduates and believe that naturopathic medicine provides an excellent option for IMGs seeking to define careers for themselves in Canada,” said Bob Bernhardt, PhD, president and CEO, CCNM. “Their patients and Canada’s health-care system will benefit from the knowledge and skills these graduates have acquired through their combined studies in Canada and abroad.”
