Downtown Main Street is about to get a whole lot busier on Saturday mornings, with the return of the Milton Farmers’ Market.
Now in its 43rd year, the market runs Saturday mornings — from 7 to noon — on Main Street between Martin and James streets.
It will kick off for the season May 16 and run until October 10. There’ll be no market on June 6 because of the Milton Downtown Street Festival.
More than 40 produce and food vendors are regulars at the weekly market, which is run by the Milton Chamber of Commerce.
Among the more popular aspects of the market is the back bacon on a bun stand, with proceeds going toward the Chamber’s scholarship fund.
