In conjunction with Earth Day, about 100 Halton Scouts will dig in to their annual tree-planting ritual this Saturday (April 25).
They’ll do so at the Halton Waste Management Site (5400 Regional Rd. 25), where since 2000, more than 5,000 trees have been planted.
The event runs from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Halton Regional Chair Gary Carr and Conservation Halton CAO Ken Phillips will be among the dignitaries on hand for the event, which is a joint initiative between the Halton Scouts, Halton Region and Conservation Halton.
