Milton Youth Theatre Productions (MYTP) Theatre in the Park is teaming up with Milton’s own Sandy Gemmill.
Gemmill is a published children’s songwriter and is the creator of Nelson the Giant. She is also co-founder of Friends for Harmony, an emerging non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing social harmony and mental
wellness, using music and the arts. The organizations slogan is “Let the power of melody promote harmony”.
This year MYTP’s March break camp Storybook Adventures has partnered with Gemmill’s Nelson the Giant to further promote anti-bullying among youth and within the school systems.
The campers will learn and create skits, songs, dances and crafts pertaining to the theme in preparation for the “variety” show at the end of the week.
The camp show will take place at the Milton Fairgrounds, Hall #1 on Friday Mar. 20, from 4 to 5pm. Gemmill will be there to autograph copies of her book and CD.
