Local residents are invited to a private screening of Still Alice Thursday, March 5 in support of the Alzheimer Society of Hamilton and Halton.
Still Alice, starring Academy-Award-winning actor Julianne Moore, tells the story of Dr. Alice Howard (Moore), a renowned linguistics professor at Columbia University.
When words begin to escape her and she starts becoming lost on her daily jogs, Alice must come face-to-face with an overwhelming diagnosis of early-onset Alzheimer’s disease.
The screening will be held at Film.ca Cinemas, 171 Speers Rd., unit 25, from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
Tickets cost $15, which includes one bag of popcorn. Donations are also welcomed.
All proceeds will go to the local Alzheimer Society chapter.
To purchase tickets, visit the Oakville office at 2345 Wycroft Rd.
For more information, contact Catherine Pegg at 289-837-2310, ext. 307.
