Union Gas is on the scene of a gas leak on Lawson Road that was reported this (Friday) morning.
Halton police received an initial report from an area resident who smelled natural gas at 7:03 a.m., with several more calls coming in within the past hour.
Area roads — including Esquesing Line — have just been reopened, but an indefinite disruption is expected as Union Gas continues to fix the leak.
