The Milton Fire Department responded to a "fully involved" bus fire on Highway 401 in Milton during the evening commute Thursday.
Reports from the scene indicated a Greyhound bus had caught fire five kilometers west of Guelph Line just before 6 p.m.
Milton fire said there were no injuries.
The incident snarled commuter traffic as firefighters worked to extinguish blaze.
Fire crews had the scene under control shortly before 6:30 p.m. and a single lane of traffic was then open to motorists.
