Anglers of all ages are invited to Conservation Halton’s Family Fishing Derby Saturday at Robert Edmondson Conservation Area.
No registration is required for the derby, which runs from 9 a.m. to noon and is open to adults and children alike.
In an effort to preserve CH’s eco-system, participants are being asked not to use live bait.
Anglers 18 and over are reminded they need an Ontario Fishing Licence.
Prizes will be awarded to the top anglers, while the Izaak Walton Fly Fishing Club will be on hand to provide fly tying and casting lessons.
Regular gate fees apply for the event.
Robert Edmondson Conservation Area (formerly Burns Conservation Area) is located at 10027 First Line, just north of No. 10 Sideroad, in Milton.
