If you’ve been unsure as to how and where to dispose of your unwanted prescription medication, wonder no more.
The 2014 Annual Prescription Drug Drop-Off Day is on Saturday, May 10, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Halton Regional Police is co-ordinating the drop-off day in partnership with Ontario Provincial Police, Halton Region, the Ontario Pharmacists’ Association, the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police, the towns of Halton Hills, Milton and Oakville, and the City of Burlington.
Members of the community are urged to visit any of the following locations to safely discard all expired and potentially harmful prescription drugs:
Halton police headquarters: 1151 Bronte Rd. on Police Day. The table for the prescription drop-off is the first on the right as you enter the north side doors to the auditorium.
Burlington: City of Burlington Operations Centre, 3330 Harvester Rd.
Milton: Milton Sports Centre (rear lot), 605 Santa Maria Dr.
Oakville: Oakville Town Hall, 1225 Trafalgar Rd.
Acton: Halton Police 10 Division station, 315 Queen St.
