Eighteen-year-old Shira is the youngest daughter of an Orthodox Hassidic family from Tel Aviv and is about to be married off to a promising young man of the same age and background. Shira dreams are about to come true, until everything changes and her sister dies unexpectedly while giving birth. A match is proposed between Shira and her brother-in-law when news spreads that he is planning to leave the country, forcing Shira to face the most difficult decision of her life: choosing between her heart’s wish and her family duty.
